Up-to-date information and training in critical concerns and intervention strategies for anyone providing pre-, peri-, and postpartum care to parents who have experienced a traumatic birth, and/or who may be struggling with postpartum PTSD. This intermediate level workshop will offer training in screening and assessment, prevention, and intervention using evidence-based methods. You will learn directly applicable techniques using the Make Birth Better model to reduce the risk and difficulties for parents experiencing trauma, including those with special risk factors (LGBTQIA+ and multicultural).  The workshop is directed toward psychologists, LMFT, LCSW, nurses, and others in the mental health field.

Speaker

Rebecca Moore, MRCPsych. Consultant in General Adult Psychiatry with an expertise in perinatal psychiatry and birth trauma.  She is a member of the Royal College of Psychiatrists in the United Kingdom.
