Dear MBPA Members and Colleagues:

The summer is approaching and the days are getting longer allowing for more opportunity to integrate play and connection in the great outdoors.  The perceived lengthening of the day can evoke more balance, energy, and brightening of mood which may enhance ones ability to reground, recalibrate, and recharge their personal and professional lives.  Our work can be intense, challenging and rewarding.  Finding time to process our day’s events, client interactions, and ethical dilemmas can also create more peace and harmony in our work-life dynamic and nourish our sense of well-being.

Dominican Hospital and the Monterey Bay Psychological Association (MBPA) co-facilitate a Collaborative Consultation Group (CCG) for the Members of the MBPA and local Psychiatrists in our community.  The CCG was established in 2003 and meets every other month on the fourth Monday of the month to discuss and explore professional, legal/ethical, and clinical topics facing clinicians.  

Together, participants in this on-going Collaborative Consultation Group will continue to co-create a mutual space for open dialogue and exploration.  Each member of the CCG has the opportunity to contribute as well as learn from each others perspectives, experiences, and paradigms. Each participant can be seen as both a teacher as well as a learner.  Come join us for this empowering and growth promoting experience through:

Save the Date: The CCG will meet on:  8/24/09, 10/26/09, 2/22/10, 4/26/10, 6/28/10, 8/23/10, 10/25/10, 2/28/11, 4/25/11, 6/27/11, 8/22/11, 10/24/11  from 2:15 p.m. ~ 1:30p.m. 

Lunch will be provided.  Vegetarian meals are available upon request.

Directions: The CCG will be held in the Basement of the Main Building of Dominican Hospital. As you face the front of the hospital, enter the door to the far right of the big circular door labeled “Outpatient Registration”. DO NOT GO INTO THE MAIN LOBBY. When you enter, the elevators will be immediately to your right. Go down one floor, and Conference Room 1 will be to your left as you exit the elevator.
