Rx Privilege Report
Hello everyone. As the Chair for MBPA prescriptive privilege and Steward for AFSCME at CTF Soledad prison and member of CPA. On Monday March 5 (Lobbying Day), I met with Senators Sam Aanestad and Ron Calderon at the Capitol Building in Sacramento regarding the prescriptive authority bill - AB 822.

I also spoke with Carl London, who is the lobbyist for AFSCME and CPA. He is currently in the process of amending the bill, and is interested in psychologists' input. He suggested two ways that would help in his new lobbying strategy:
  1. Assistance in reviewing previous prescriptive bills that failed, noting what portions of the failed bills would be good to include in the amendment.
  2. He will also consider suggestions from interested psychologists supportive of SB822 - Prescriptive Privilege.
If you have any information that you would like to have relayed to him, or would like to help in the review process, please phone (831) 818-0762 or email me at This e-mail address is being protected from spam bots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it This e-mail address is being protected from spam bots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it .
